I have been tutoring for more than 15 years, mostly using the Singapore Math curriculum (placed number one in the world), but additionally, I have helped students with their homework from a variety of schools and colleges. I have volunteered at a K-12 private school helping students at various levels with their mathematical questions. The program of study I chose in college required rigorous mathematical proofs which enabled me to analyze the truths of various mathematical concepts. In other words, I explain the why behind the math, versus just memorizing steps. This helps one to understand the mathematical precepts and, in my experience, creates mathematical independence. The feedback I have gotten from my students is they no longer see math as a mystery and are surprised at how easy it is to understand. Needless to say, with such rewarding results, it’s easy to be enthusiastic at what I do. I look forward to helping you or your child succeed! Usually, I meet my students at a mutually agreed upon location such as a library, coffee shop, etc.
